Supplies and Equipment You’ll Need

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Blue food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup milk chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 ½ cups Oreo cookie pieces
  • 1 ½ cups mini Chips Ahoy cookie pieces
  • Candy eyeballs (small and large)

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line your cookie sheet(s) with parchment paper. Set them aside.

In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the softened butter and both sugars until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.

Add eggs and vanilla extract to batter for Cookie Monster Cookies

Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing again until the batter becomes light and creamy.

Gradually add blue food coloring until you achieve the desired Cookie Monster blue shade. Scrape the sides to ensure even coloring.

Stir in the salt, baking powder, and flour until the dough is thoroughly combined, scraping the sides as needed.

Fold in the milk chocolate chips and white chocolate chips to distribute them evenly throughout the dough.

Scoop out golf ball-sized portions of dough and roll them into spheres. Place these on your prepared baking sheet. Continue until you have about 6-9 cookies on the sheet, leaving enough space between each for spreading during baking.

Press Oreo and Chips Ahoy cookie pieces into the top of each dough ball so that they bake into the cookie.

Bake in your preheated oven for 12 minutes, until the edges are set and the center is no longer shiny and undercooked. Remove from the oven immediately.

While the cookies are still hot, gently press candy eyeballs into each cookie to create Cookie Monster’s characteristic eyes. Be careful as both the cookies and pan will be hot.
